Gardendale

Two arrested in car break-in investigation

The Tuesday arrest of two suspects may have helped solve investigations into car break-ins in Gardendale and the campus of UAB. The Gardendale Police Department arrested and charged William Justin Cole, 25, and Crystal Jenell Jones, 24, with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and second-degree theft of property after an investigation into a car break-in at the Gardendale Wal-Mart. The suspects were arrested at a residence in the 3500 block of McConnell Lane in Brookside. At the residence, officers reportedly recovered stolen property from the Wal-Mart break-in as well as stolen property from vehicle break-ins from the UAB campus.
