Blue Devils receive championship rings

- The Mortimer Jordan Lady Blue Devils finally receive their championship rings after winning the 2008 state softball championship this summer. The team and coaches received their rings Friday at the Mortimer Jordan football game. Several donors pitched in to pay for the rings. Jefferson County Schools superintendent Dr. Phil Hammonds handed out the rings, while other county school officials, Mortimer Jordan principal Barbara Snider and others took part in the ceremony.
