- The Gardendale Historical Society brought in this 19th-century stagecoach replica from Alexander City to celebrate the marking of a historic road in Gardendale, Stouts Road. Stanley Ingram of Russell Lands is driving the coach, with Gardendale Mayor Kenny Clemons riding shotgun. At left, Clemons and members of the Gardendale Historical Society cut the ribbon for several markers like the one shown. The markers will point out the route of historic Stouts Road, which was originally used by people walking, riding horseback, and riding wagons and stagecoaches.
