Driver’s Program
Aug. 13-14 AARP Senior Drivers’ Safety Program classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is a $10 fee for workbook. Car insurance discount with completion of classes if you have not had an accident in the last three years. Call and sign up for classes at 631-7240.
Consignment Sale
Aug. 20-23 Kingdom Kids Consignment Sale will take place at Gardendale-Mt. Aug. 16 There will be a fund-raiser for the new North Jefferson-Blount Public Library on Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the former National Guard armory on Cane Creek Road. There will be food, crafts, drawings, prizes and a silent auction. The public is invited. There is no charge to attend.
