Today West Side Baptist Church will be having a yard sale to benefit missions, beginning at 8 a.m. The yard sale will be in the parking lot at Warrior Medical Associates. They will be selling all sorts of things and plus-size clothes. They are also having a bake sale.

• A special happy birthday to my niece, Erica Glover (she will be sweet 16 on Aug. 8) and my nephew, Alan Newfield, who celebrates his birthday on the same day. I love you both.
