‘Amnesty Day’ to be held July 11
The Gardendale Police Department will hold an “Amnesty Day” on Friday at City Hall with the intention of clearing a backlog of failure to appear and probation violation warrants. Sign-in will begin at 8 a.m. Individuals who appear in court on that date will have failure to appear charges withdrawn and will face only the initial charge. Those who come in for any other cases will be issued a recognizance bond and will be assigned a court date. Those who have charges on bad checks are advised to call the court so their file can be readied for court. Individuals who now live out of state are also advised to call ahead and not call the morning of court. For more information, call the Gardendale City Municipal Court at 631-7155.
