Garden tip: Check all plants for dead branches. Be sure to clean up snips before cutting the branches. Then be sure to clean any snips, saws or loppers before putting these tools away. Most of the time we do not cut or trim shrubs, roses and other bushes after they bloom. Since we had such a bad drought last year, check any dead branches and remove them as soon as possible.
