Mortimer Jordan grads received more than $1 million in scholarships

Mortimer Jordan High School seniors received a total of $1,293,600 in scholarship money. A total of 51 students received 115 scholarships.
• Congratulations to the following who received JefCoEd 2008 Second Mile Teachers: Sherry Ledlow, Bryan Elementary; Margaret Heron, Mortimer Jordan High School; and Cindy Gray, North Jefferson Middle School.
• Congratulations to Brandon Brindley on placing second in The Southeast Regional Freestyle Tournament that was held in Atlanta on May 24-25. Brandon competed in the 112-pound weight class. Way to go Brandon!
• North Jefferson Middle School registration will be held July 31, from 9 to 11 a.m. for sixth grade; 1 to 3 p.m. for seventh grade; and 5 to 7 p.m. for eighth grade. Make-up for all grades will be held on Aug. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. Student ID pictures will be made at registration.
