Garden tip: Trim back bushes, check for bugs

Garden tip: If you have not trimmed your shrubs that have already bloomed, this is a great time to cut back the tall branches and the tip end stems that have grown the wrong way. Also, check all plants. The insects are really working.

• Waterstone Baptist Church will have VBS on June 1-5 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The theme will be “Outrigger Island.” Pack your gear, prepare to set sail and discover how to live God’s unshakable truth on Outrigger Island. • Pray for Emma Swindle, Burlie James, Betty Thompson, Orine Jones, Essie Mae Lowe, Erskine James and a young man that is having a real problem, he is Dee Sloan. Pray for him extra. May God bless each one of these lovely men and ladies.
• We need to pray for our troops that are in harms’ way.
