Holly Pond Elementary School Principal Chuck Gambril will be moving over to lead Holly Pond’s new middle school this fall.
The Cullman County Board of Education announced Gambril’s new appointment at Thursday’s board meeting.
“I want to thank the board for this opportunity,” Gambril said Thursday. “One of my goals is to be the best (elementary) school in the state, and I’ve set that same goal for the middle school. … I’m excited to take it to another level.”
Superintendent Hank Allen said the board has formed a search committee to find a new principal for the elementary school and hopes to have selected one by the next board meeting.
Also at last week’s meeting, audit manager Randy O’Bannon presented the system’s 2006-2007 state examiners audit report. O’Bannon said there were no findings in the report of the chief examiner, and the individual auditor’s report and the federal program report were returned unqualified.
