Lady Wildcats win seventh straight

The Fultondale Lady Wildcats keep on winning. On Monday night, they whipped Erwin, 13-0 in five innings to improve to 12-4 so far this year.

Fultondale head coach David Reed used three pitchers, who combined on the shutout.

Shelbi Smith (3-2) started and picked up the victory. She threw two innings of one-hit ball and struck out four. Camden Marrs followed with two innings of one-hit ball and struck out three. Kelsey Hubbard finished up and struck out the side in her only inning of work.

At the plate Britani Howell had a double, a triple, scored two runs and had an RBI.

Catcher Haley Hill went 2-for-2 with a double, an inside the park home run, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Smith went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and one RBI. Riane Estes went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Karleena Unlap went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Hubbard went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and an two RBIs.

Megan Westbrook had one hit, scored one run and had one RBI.

Cadi “Boo” Oliver went 1-for-2 and scored one run.
