The Mortimer Jordan High School choir will travel to San Antonio next weekend to compete in the Heritage Festival Choral Competition. The MJ choir is one of nine schools from all over the country. Good luck!

• A country fair is planned for today at Morris City Park. Events will include a

dunking booth, car show, bake sale, refreshments and children’s activities. All proceeds will go toward Morris Senior Citizens to help with expenses for them to travel to Florence to compete at the 2008 Masters Games of Alabama.

• Morris Youth Association Blue Devil Parade and Team Appreciation Day will be held on May 2. The parade will begin at North Jefferson Middle School at 5:30 p.m. Be there no later than 5 p.m. to get in line. It will end at the ballpark. Each team will have its own truck and trailer, and

each kid should bring candy to throw. There will be fireworks, free pizza and cokes. Everyone please come and join us!

• If you have any news, just let me know. Have a great week.
