On Wednesday, the Gardendale Lady Rockets whipped McAdory, 5-1, behind the pitching of Katie Argent.

Argent (5-1) threw a complete game two-hitter and struck out five, while allowing only one earned run.

At the plate, Kellie Johnson hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning.

Delena Kennedy had one hit and scored a run, Taylor Powell had an RBI.

Beth Erwin scored one run. Kaitlyn Casaday had one hit and scored once.

Lindsay Blakey, Lauren Ellis and Emily Dodson had one hit each.

The Lady Wildcats fell to their Blount County rivals, despite out-hitting the Lady Redskins, 8-7.

Madison Durham went 3-for-4 and drove in a run.

Mara Conner went 2-for-4 and drove in one run.

Brittany Thomas and Meagan Holt both had one hit each and scored one run a piece.

Sam Niblett had one hit. Laila Russell had one hit and one RBI, she also walked twice and scored two runs.

Russsell pitched the complete game and took the loss.

She gave up seven hits and struck out four. She issued three bases on balls.
