The Fultondale Wildcat baseball team clinched a playoff spot on Tuesday night with a 8-2 road win at Victory-Christian.

The postseason trip will be the Wildcats fifth in the past six seasons.

The Wildcats (11-4), improved to 3-1 in 2A, Area 11 play and could still win the area if they win Thursday night against Westbrook Christian and Friday against Ohatchee. Should they win both games, they would likely force a playoff game for the area title and the right to host a first round playoff series.

Chris Conn (3-0), got the win, as he threw four innings of two-hit ball. He walked two and struck out four, while allowing only one earned run.

Nathan Graham picked up his third save of the season with three innings of work.

At the plate, Conn went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. He scored one run.

Josh Tarwater had a double and two RBIs.
