The Hayden Lady Wildcats (9-11) needed eight innings Monday to subdue the Cleveland Lady Panthers by a 2-1 score.
Kris Quick scored the winning run and Ashleigh Ward scored the first Hayden run in the third inning.
Destinee Wade threw four innings of three-hit ball to collect the win. She struck out one and walked one.
Mara Conner had started the game and allowed two hits and one earned run in four innings of work. She struck out two.
At the plate, Ward went 2-for-3. Conner went 2-for-4 with a double. Laila Russell went 1-for-3 with an RBI-triple in the third inning.
Quick had one hit.
The win was the third in the last four games for the Lady Wildcats.
