Gardendale sweeps Arab in doubleheader

On Monday, the Gardendale Rockets swept Arab in a doubleheader to improve to 19-9.
The Rockets won the opener, 10-0, followed by an 8-0 win in the nightcap.

Arab 0
David Roberts evened his record at 4-4, as he threw a complete game shutout. He struck out 12 and walked none, while allowing only one hit, a double.
Josh Headley led the offense with a two-run homer in the third inning as he went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Andrew Busby went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Andrew Campbell went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Arab 0
In the nightcap, Conner McCain improced to 4-1 as he threw four innings of one-hit ball and walked only two. He struck out two.
Campbell followed with three innings of one-hit ball as he walked one and struck out five.
The Rockets put the game away early as they scored five runs in the first inning and two more in the second. They added their final run in the third inning.
Hunter Graveman powered the offense as he went 2-for-3 witha double and three RBIs. He scored once.
Ethan Powers went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
McCain helped himself as he went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
