The Gardendale Rockets whipped Hayes twice on Wednesday and Minor once on Thursday as they continue a surge that has improved their overall record to 17-9.

The Rockets scored 48 runs in the three wins and collected 46 hits, including 18 extra base hits—14 doubles, one triple and three home runs.

Gardendale 18,

Hayes 2

Justin Jones (1-0) picked up the win throwing a five-inning four-hitter. He struck out eight and walked four.

Josh Headley led the way at the plate with two home runs and five RBIs and scored twice.

Hunter Graveman went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI and one run scored.

Andrew Campbell had a triple, scored once and one RBI.

Shane Godfrey had one double, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Jones had one RBI and scored a run.

Landon Kelley had one hit and scored one run.

Cameron Brewer scored one run.

Travis Key had a double scored one run and had one RBI.

Josh Lawson had a double, scored one run and had one RBI.

Rob Mitchell went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Ethan Powers had two hits and scored twice.

David Roberts had a hit, scored once and drove in one run.

Trey Williamon had a one hit and scored one run.

Bobby Williams had a double, scored once and had one RBI.

Gardendale 15,

Hayes 2

Key threw three innings, allowed two hits and struck out eight to collect the win.

At the plate, Adam Erwin had a grand slam and scored three runs.

Andrew Busby went 3-for-3 with a triple and drove in three runs.

Brewer had a double and scored one run.

Jones scored one run. Graveman had one hit.

Kelley had two hits and scored two runs.

Key had a double and scored twice.

Lawson had a double, a triple and scored twice.

Conner McCain had a double, had one RBI and scored a run. David Roberts scored one run.

Williamon had one hit, one run and one RBI.

Bobby Williams had one hit, one run and one RBI.

Minor 1

Williams threw three innings, allowed one hit and struck out 11 to record the win.

Headley went 2-for-3 with a double, one run scored and three RBIs. Williamon went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and three RBIs.

Roberts had a hit and scored once.

Mitchell had a double and scored a run. Erwin went 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and scored two runs.

Kelley went 2-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI. Graveman had an RBI and scored one run.

Campbell had one hit, scored one run and had an RBI. Brewer had one hit and scored one run.
