Mt. Olive Elementary Kindergarten registration will take place on April 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the office. The following items will be required: Student’s certified birth certificate (not the hospital copy), proof of immunization (blue card), social security card, two forms of residence verification (utility bill, lease, rent receipt, etc.) and driver license. Teachers will conduct a short assessment of each child to determine class placement.
• I would like to thank everyone who sent flowers and food to our family during our time of loss. We have been very blessed with friends and family who comforted us with their words and presence. Please continue to pray for our family. Grandma will be greatly missed.
• St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 — be sure to wear green so that no one can pinch you. Also, spring starts on March 20.
• Gardendale 13 and 14-year-old baseball registration will take place until March 31. You can register at the park concession stand. For more information, call Keith Mayfield at 608-0891 or Kelly Tittle at 608-2958.
• Friendship United Methodist Church will host a cemetery cleanup for the May 11 Decoration Day. Monetary donations will be received and appreciated.
