Registration

The Last Supper

March 16 On March 16 at 8 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church you will be offered the opportunity to witness the reenactment of the Last Supper as inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci in his famous painting and as performed by actors from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Henry’s and St. Paul’s. Easter Egg Hunt

March 23 Friendship United Methodist Church will have an Easter egg hunt for children at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday; services follow at 9:45 a.m. For more info call Rev. Hollis at 647-2442.



Special Speakers

March 23-26 Bishop Nassan Ibrahim of Mbarara, Uganda and Kids Crusade with Dick Crowder will be at Landmark Lighthouse Assembly of God on March 23-26. Sunday evening service is at 5 p.m. and Monday thru Wednesday at 7 p.m. For more information, call the church.



Singing

March 30 Fieldstown Church of God will have a singing on March 30 at 1:30 p.m. with special guests, Gospel Enlighteners. For more information call the church at 631-6013.



Magnolia Festival

April 19 Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. for the annual Magnolia Festival at the Gardendale Civic Center. Come for live entertainment, featuring bluegrass, pop, Christian music; classic car show, carnival rides, pony rides and inflatables for the kids, arts and crafts booths, business expo, great food including barbeque, ice cream, funnel cakes, etc. For more information visit www.magnoliafestival.org. Fultondale



Park Help

March 15 The stream restoration project will be completed in Black Creek Park on March 15. Volunteers are needed to install blue bird boxes, split rail fence, flowering shrubs and trees. Bring work gloves, shovels, metal rakes, and rubber boots for wading. Rain or shine. Meet at the east end of the park. Contact Francesca Gross, Five Mile Creek Greenway Partnership at 264-8464



Holy Week Services

March 17-19 The Fultondale United Methodist Church will host Holy Week Services March 17, 18 and 19 from noon until 12:30 p.m. Each day the service will be followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon in the fellowship hall. The community is invited to these special services. The speakers for each day will be Rev. Jerry Alexander from New Hope Ministries on Monday, Dr. Mark Woods from Fultondale First Baptist on Tuesday and Rev. Roy Williams from Walker Chapel United Methodist Church on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday their will be evening services at 7 p.m.



Dances

The Marlow Ballroom Dance is held the third Sunday of every month at Friendship Hall in Fultondale from 2-5 p.m. Cost is $8/person, dressy casual. Group classes are also held every Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Friendship Hall $10/person. For more information call 229-8240.

Mother’s Day Out

Morris



Support Group

March 17 A Caregivers Support Group is starting at the Morris Community Center March 17. The group is for any person who takes care of a terminally ill patient. The patient does not have to be using hospice services. There is no fee to attend the group. It will meet every third Monday at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Angela Bush at (205) 602-6602.



Warrior



Reunion

April 19 The Warrior High School annual Alumni Banquet will be on April 19. All graduates and former students of Warrior High School are invited. The classes of 1958, 1948 and 1938 who will be celebrating their 50th, 60th and 70th years of graduation will be recognized.
