Gardendale Elementary School and the school’s PTA sponsored a Young Authors' Tea Thursday at the school.

Gardendale Elementary School and the school’s PTA sponsored a Young Authors’ Tea Thursday at the school. The tea was to promote writing skills, according to reading coach Wanda Stidham. She said that 180 students in third through fifth grades qualified to participate in the tea by scoring well on a writing assignment. PTA members served the children snacks during the event.
