Funeral services will be held Friday for the young family killed in a West Point crash Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators said Heather Michelle Miller, 25, and her sons David Jr., 5; Austin, 3, and Brody, 1, all of Addison, were killed when Miller lost control of her vehicle on County Road 1114 and struck an oncoming pickup truck.
“Heather was a fantastic mother who loved her boys and they will be missed by the family,” Miller’s sister Shirley Williams said.
Two local banks have set up funds for the Miller family. The community can make donations to the Heather Miller Family Fund at any Eva Bank, or to the Heather Miller and Children Memorial Trust Fund at People’s Bank.
“We just want to thank all who have called and given their support and prayers,” Williams said. “We also just ask everyone to please pray for the (childrens’) father (D.J. Miller).”
Cullman County Coroner Gary Murphree said Miller had survived another fatal car crash 20 years ago, which claimed the life of her mother, Doris Brown McBrayer.
Miller was also preceded in death by her grandfather, J.D. McBrayer.
The Miller family is survived by husband and father David “D.J.” Jeffrey Miller; father and grandfather James Marty McBrayer; in-laws and grandparents Sherrie and Danny Miller; grandparents and great-grandparents Fannie and Lawrence Brown and Christine McBrayer; four brothers-in-law and uncles, Adam (Crystal) Miller, Bo Miller, Brandon McCay and Hunter McCay; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The service for the Miller family will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Edsel Riddly officiating. Interment will follow in Bethsadia Cemetery.
Williams said the Miller family will be buried together in a single casket.
Visitation for the family will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
