Lewis Walter Eddy

Lewis Walter Eddy, age 90 died at his home on Dec. 24, 2007 after an extended illness. Lewis was a truck driver for 37 years. He retired from Admiral Merchants and was a member of the Local Teamsters Union 612. He loved his family, working in his yard and garden and sitting in the shade. He also attended the Gardendale Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jessie Ryan Eddy; son, Walter Van Eddy (Faye); daughters, Charlotte Santy and Deborah E. Higgins (Jerry); six grandchildren; Mike Santy, Sonya Eddy, Sheri Hartsell, Jennifer Holcombe (Scott), Jessica Higgins and Janna Higgins; eight great-grandchildren, Brannon and Hunter Shipp, Katelyn, Kenley and Kileigh Holcombe and Will, Davis and Macy Hartsell and sister, Elsie Vacarella.
