Douglas Gordon Cole

Funeral services for Douglas Gordon Cole, 65, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Eugene Loyd officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cole died Wednesday, Nov. 14, at his residence. He was born on March 15, 1942, in Birmingham to William Gordon and Geneva Mae Burnett Cole. He was an electronic specialist with BellSouth telephone company.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sims Cole of Cullman; two daughters, Angie Davis of Gadsden and Stacey Cole of Cullman; a son, Shannon Douglas Cole of Cullman; a sister, Sue Brown of Cullman; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
