Thanksgiving Day will be here before you know it. I love Thanks-giving — a time of being with my family. The food is great, but just being with family is better. I am very, very thankful for all God has blessed me with.

• Happy birthday today to: Bobbie Gurley, a wonderful friend; and to my brother-in-law, Carl Doyle. I hope you both have a wonderful birthdays — you are both very special and I love you.

• Happy birthday to: Tabitha white on Nov. 12; Jesse Sherrell on Nov.13; Bobby Stafford on Nov. 14; Rhonda McGowin and my wonderful aunt, Helen Roberts on Nov. 15; Fern Chapple, Raymond Williams and Jerry Smith on Nov. 16; my brother-in-law, Russell Newfield; and my boss, Oliver Harper and Tyler Kyle on Nov. 17. I hope they are all wonderful.

• Happy anniversary to: Daniel and Leslie White on Nov. 13; Jerry and Cynthia White on Nov. 15; and Nick and Rhonda Burns on Nov. 16.

• Graves Gap Baptist Church will have a bench plaque dedication honoring Vernon “Buck” and Henrietta “June” Gallimore and Earl McPherson on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. Also on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., Graves Gap will have the special singing of Sacred Harvest (formerly Heritage Quartet).
