Mary O. Webb

Mary O. Webb, age 88 of Gardendale went home to her Heavenly home on Nov. 6, 2007. She was born on May 30, 1919, in Kennedy, Miss. She grew up in Hanceville and was a graduate of Hanceville High School. mary was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher for over 45 years at Inglenook Baptist Church. She retired from Pizitz Department Store after 20 years of service. Always caring for those in need, Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, wonderful grandmother, caring sister and special friend. Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Joe P. Webb, her parents, E.A. and Icie Williams, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughters, Mitzi Jo Martin and Nancy Carol (Steve) Garrett all of Gardendale; two sisters, Christine Lee of Birmingham, Jean Brown of Weaver and brother, Bill Williams of Trussville. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Mauk, Cindy (Marty) King, Christopher Mauk, Scott Garrett, Stephanie Garrett and four great-grandchildren; Joshua and Zachary King, Karlee and Jackson Mauk. She was lovingly endeared by her great-grandchildren as Granny Goose. Services were held at the chapel at Morgan’s @ Gardendale with burial at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Rev.
