Once again, I would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. My dad is doing wonderfully. He should be coming home in a couple of weeks.

• The Fultondale Elementary PTA would like to let you know every first Thursday of the month at the Fultondale Zaxby’s, is PTA night from 4 to 9 p.m. The PTA gets 15 percent of the sales donated to them during these hours.

• Papa John’s will also host a fund-raiser for the elementary school on Oct. 29, orders can be picked up or delivered. Coupons will be coming home with children. The school will receive 20 percent on all orders placed with a qualifying coupon. Be sure to get your coupons so the school will get credit for your order.

• The Fultondale Education Committee (FEC) meets the first Wednesday (Nov. 7) of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the high school’s media center.

• FHS junior and senior bands are having the annual fruit sale. Apples, oranges, pears, tangerines and tangelos will be sold. Please contact any band member to place your order.

• Congratulations are in order for the FHS senior band. They received all superior ratings at the 24th Annual Southern Invitational Music Festival in Marietta, Ga. Keep up the good work.

• Please remember the community lunch at tomorrow at Fultondale First Baptist Church. This month’s menu includes chicken and dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, bread, tea or coffee, and cake for dessert. Adult plates are $6, ages 4-12 are $4 and ages 4 and under eat free. For more information on the lunch or the CareNet Connection, please contact Jim Branum at 587-8838.
