Flea Market and Craft Show

Oct. 27 There will be a community flea market and craft show on Oct. 27 at 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Gardendale-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Booth space is available. Call 631-7631 for more info.



Fall festival

Oct. 28 The Gardendale Church of the Nazarene will host a fall festival on Oct. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. The festival will feature a rodeo, games, food and pony rides. This event is free to the public. For more information call 631-5452 ext 212.



Carnival

Oct. 31 The Church Revived will host a fall carnival on Oct. 31 from 6 until 8:30 p.m. There will be plenty of fun for everyone with free food and booths for kids of all ages. For more information call the church at 631-4404.



Christmas Craft Show

Nov. 9, 10 The north arts council is having their annual 2007 Christmas craft show at the Gardendale Civic Center. It will be Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and have your picture taken with Santa. Door prizes and free parking. Pageant

Dec. 29 The 2008 Miss North Jefferson County and Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageants will be held on Dec. 29. Both are official Miss Alabama and

Oct. 28 There will be a homecoming on Oct. 28 at Faith Tabernacle located behind Mortimer Jordan High School starting at 10 a.m. Guest preacher will be Roland Foster from Columbiana, and the Victory Singers from Tennessee will sing. Seminar

Oct. 18 Mount Royal Towers presents a Life Long Learning Seminar Series to address issues facing Birmingham area seniors and their families. The October seminar will focus on Alzheimers Disease and its effects on family caregivers. Family members seeking information should attend this informative and invaluable program. This event will be held on Thursday, Oct.18 at 10 a.m. at the Mount Royal Towers Retirement Community in the Town Hall Community Room. Refreshments will be served. Quilt Show

Oct. 26 and 27 The 20th annual quilt show is being presented by the Blount County Quilter’s Guild at Palisades Park in Oneonta on Oct. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3.
