I would like to say thank you for all of our comments and prayers about my dad. He is still in the hospital but has improved a good bit. Thank you all.

• Happy birthday to my friend Ken Davison on Oct. 11.

• Happy birthday to Maura Howse on Oct. 11.

• Another week undefeated! Way to go Wildcats — keep up the good work. Homecoming week starts this week.

• Happy Birthday to Dr. Lisa Woods on Oct. 11. Also, congratulations on her new job as the pharmacist at the new Target in Fultondale. Welcome back home. She is a 1999 graduate of Fultondale High School and has returned to her home town to work and live.

• Fultondale Elementary PTA would like to let you know every first Thursday of the month at the Zaxby’s in Fultondale is PTA night from 4 to 9 p.m. The Fultondale PTA gets 15 percent of the sales donated during these hours. Thursday is also 99 cent kids meal night. What a good opportunity to have a dinner out with the family and support our PTA at the same time.

• Just a reminder the Fultondale Education Committee (FEC) meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the high school media center.

• FHS Band Boosters will be meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the band room. All junior and senior band parents are invited.

• Help the FHS senior band raise some dough Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Pizza Hut in Gardendale. The store will be donating 20 percent of the night’s profit to the band. Please tell your server or cashier you are supporting FHS.

• The senior band competed last Saturday in the South Central Marching Classic. I heard they did an excellent job. Congratulations!
