Golf

Oct. 5 The Gardendale High School PTSA sponsors an annual Homecoming Golf Tournament each year to raise funds for the high school. This year’s tournament will be held at Castle Pines Golf Course on Friday, Oct. 5 with a shot-gun start at 8 a.m. Our tournament has become very popular with approximately 100 participants and the numbers grow larger each year. Homecoming

Oct. 7 Glenn’s Chapel Baptist Church will have homecoming on Oct. 7. Morning worship is at 11 a.m. and there will be a covered dish lunch. Sacred Harvest will be the guest singers. For more information call Wanda Gibbs at 631-4977.



Fall Carnival

Oct. 12 Gardendale Elementary School will hold their fall carnival on Oct. 12 from 5-9 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center. There will be lots of fun activities, a silent auction and a new GES carnival store. Fore more information call the school.



Singing

Oct. 14 Homecoming will take place on Oct. 14 at Friendship United Methodist Church. Preaching will start at 11 a.m with lunch at 12:15 p.m. and singing at 1:30 p.m. Guest singers are “Sacred Harvest” and Van Belcher. Brother George Hollis, Pastor. 647-2442.



TOPS

A group of Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets at 6 p.m. every Monday night in Gardendale. Our programs are short, interesting and helpful, and we are ready to leave by 7 p.m. We meet in Room 2200 of the Family Life Center, Gardendale’s First Baptist Church. Robert Pliner is the Leader. Silent Auction

Oct. 4 Gardendale Civic Center, silent auction 6 p.m to 7 p.m. and banquet at 7 p.m. Hosted by the North Jefferson Women’s Center. Tickets are $15 individual or table of 8 for $125. Corporate sponsors are welcomed. Proceeds will be used to renovate our new facility. Tickets may be purchased at the center located on Pecan Avenue behind the Teacher’s Credit Union. Flea Market and Craft Show

Fall festival

Oct. 28 The Gardendale Church of the Nazarene will host a fall festival on Oct. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. The festival will feature a rodeo, games, food and pony rides. This event is free to the public. For more information call 631-5452 ext 212.



Christmas Craft Show

Nov. 9, 10 The north arts council is having their annual 2007 Christmas craft show at the Gardendale Civic Center.
