North Jefferson Five a Day Fun and Fitness Day will be held today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Morris walking park. Free turkey hot dogs, fruit and vegetable tasting and door prizes will be offered. There will be plenty of fun physical activities and a variety of health screenings. Sponsored by the cities and citizens of Morris, Kimberly, Warrior and the surrounding areas, and the Jefferson County Department of Health.

• The Bryan Elementary School fall festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 13. We are again offering vendors the opportunity to come and set up a booth. If you know of anyone who would be interested in taking part, a booth rental is a $50 donation fee. The deadline for booth rental will be Oct. 8.
