Mid-September the time to plant all your greens

Garden tip: Plant all of your greens about Sept. 12, according to some aged persons. Plant turnip greens, collards, lettuce, broccoli and other plants that love cool weather.

• The McLeroy/Shipp reunion will take place on Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone bring pictures and a covered dish. For information call May Bell at 647-4551 or June Mayfield at 647-6120.

• The MYF meeting at Stewart’s Chapel will start at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12. This is a wonderful youth group.

• Stewart’s Chapel Methodist Church will have a singing on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. The guest singers are Strait Way.

• The regular monthly community church service will be held at Stewart’s Chapel on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. All of the community churches are involved.

• Pray for Johnathon Green and friends who were involved in an accident. May all of you feel better soon.

• Please continue to pray for the United States and our troops that are in harms’ way.
