Wade Charles “Bug” Sharp
Wade Charles “Bug” Sharp, 69, of Trafford, went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2007. He was retired from the U.S. Army and member of Warrior Independent Church of God. Funeral services were held at Warrior Independent Church of God with burial in Trafford First Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Roy and Donnie Glass officiated. Mr. Sharp has left behind his loving wife of 51 years Mildred C. Sharp of Trafford; sons L.W. (Debrah) Sharp, John C. (Gail) Sharp Sr. and Charles D. (Sara) Sharp; daughters Grace (Michael) Shannon and Kayla Sharp; four sisters Frances Dryer, Thelma Hargrove, Mary Lois Guiling and Macy Sanders; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Travis “Butch” Key Jr.
Travis “Butch” Key Jr., 54 of Gardendale passed away on Aug. 31, 2007. Butch retired from Alabama Power Company with over 25 years of service. He had a tremendous love for baseball. He was very active in coaching his son and daughter in softball and baseball as well as many other young people in the Gardendale area. Butch loved to play golf and was a member of Castle Pines County Club. He was a caring and loving son and father. Survivors include his son, Travis L. Key III; daughter, Kimmie Key; parents, Travis L. “Bud” Key Sr. and Johnnie D. Mama John Key; brothers, Ronald C. Key and Kelly E. Key; and sister, Ritzie Ann Key. Services were held at Oakwood memorial Chapel.

Marie G. Sharp
Marie G. Sharp, 81, of Hayden, went home to be with Jesus. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Warrior. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pakel Norman and her parents Joe and Alice Gardner. Survivors include daughters, Shirley (Dalton Sr.) Chandler, Janice Sharp, Kay (Terry) Rock; sons, Mancil “Mack” (Martha) Sharp, Weiss (Tammy) Sharp; brother, Laylon (Delancey) Gardner; sister, Betty Jo (Lester) Goodwin; grandchildren, Teresa (Rusty) Walker, Nicole (Scott) Woody, Dalton (Jennifer) Chandler Jr., T.J. Rock, Jeff (Kelly) Chandler, Allie Sharp, Michael (Tiffany) Sharp, Glenn (Terri) Koch, Angie Perry; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, McKenzie, Dalton III, Trevor, Ty, Tanner, Colt, Clay, Tyler, Tristian, Shelby, Taylor, Christian, Chase; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Morgan’s @ Gardendale with burial in Center Hill, Hanceville. Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m.
