Sept. 9 From Mourning to Joy is the theme of the GriefShare ministry of Gardendale First Baptist Church. This is a support group for those who have lost a loved one and would like to participate with others who are also bereaved. The fall session will begin Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. Child care if available. Silent Auction
Oct. 4 Gardendale Civic Center, silent auction 6 p.m to 7 p.m. and banquet at 7 p.m. Hosted by the North Jefferson Women’s Center. Tickets are $15 individual or table of 8 for $125. Corporate sponsors are welcomed. Proceeds will be used to renovate our new facility. Tickets may be purchased at the center located on Pecan Avenue behind the Teacher’s Credit Union.
