Students named to Merit List at Oxford College

The following students were named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2007 spring semester:

n Alexa Hayes of Hayden, daughter of the Rev. Jeffrey Glenn Hayes and Nancy Leisering Hayes.

n Mary Crane of Warrior, daughter of Larry W. Crane and Nancy Crane.

Students must earn a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.



Hanceville

Registration at Wallace State College under way

Early online registration for fall semester classes at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville will continue through Aug. 3, with payment of tuition and fees due by Aug. 6. Students may register on campus July 23 through Aug. 3 during the early registration period.

Online registration will re-open Aug. 7-13 during regular registration, with payment due by Aug. 14.

Students may register online or on campus Aug. 16-23, with payment due the day they register.

The last day to register and drop or add a class is Aug. 23. Classes start Aug. 17.

Students may register online by logging on to www.wallacestate.edu.

Admissions and Financial Aid personnel are available to assist students Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. through 4 p.m. The offices will remain open until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday during on-site registration.
