CPR, AED, ACLS, and first responder classes are being offered in Gardendale. Call for information and class times. They are offering Heart-saver, Health-care provider, and friends and family CPR. Call 631- 1337.
n There will be a huge yard sale at the Mt. Olive Community Center today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds go to the Mt. Olvie Community Center.
n Looking for something new to do with the kids this summer? Check into the Summer Day Camps that take place July 16-20 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are offered through the Gardendale Parks and Recreation Department with activities including water games, arts and crafts, playground visits, volleyball, tennis, basketball, movies, kite flying, board games and much more. The cost is $125 or $100 for two or more children, ages 6-12. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided. Sign up now at the civic center. n The 84th Creel family reunion will be held Aug. 4 at Liberty Baptist Church in Morris. It will begin at 10 a.m. Come bring family and friends along with your favorite dish and news of your part of the family.
n The Mt. Olive United Methodist Church will be having their Vacation Bible School July 22-July 26 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Call today at 631-4924 for early registration and your children will be entered in a drawing for a special prize giveaway on closing night.
n I want to wish a very happy anniversary on July 16 to my wonderful husband of three years, Todd Pelkey. I have enjoyed the last three years more than any time of my life and I look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
n The 8-year-old maroon allstar team is having a yard sale on Saturday, July 21 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hamburger Heaven. The boys are raising money for their trip to the world series.
