Hazel Tate Shugart

Hazel Tate Shugart, age 92 of Gardendale, passed away on June 29, 2007. Mrs. Shugart was preceded in death by her first husband, Lance E. Tate, daughter, Lerah S. Tate, grandson, Steven M. Tate and great-grandson James T. Farley. Member of New Georgia Baptist Church, having taught Sunday school for many years and sang in the choir. A special thank you to Hope Hospice and Dr. Doug Alford. Survivors include his wife of the last 11 years, sons, Phillip M. Tate (Donnie), Andy Shugart, Willard F. (Terri) Shugart, daughters, Sondra T. Harmon ( Wheeler), Billie T. Hughes (Chris), Pat (Gilbert) Belcher, 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Maureen Bryant Heaton, Mary J. Carlisle and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Services were held at the chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Thomas Belcher and Rev. Thomas Graves officiated with special prayer by Rev. Nat Creme. Memorials may be sent to Hope Hospice Inc. at 1100 E. Park Drive, Suite 300, Birmingham, AL 35235.

Cynthia Lynn Brady Lay Davis, age 44 of Mt. Olive passed away on June 19, 2007. Survivors include her special friend, James Mitchell Sullivan, son, Daniel Mitchell Sullivan and brother Charlie Brady.
