Billy Wayne Tankersley
Funeral services for Billy Wayne Tankersley, 66, of Vinemont will be at 11 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Moss Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Nails officiating. Interment will follow at Hamby’s Chapel.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tankersley died May 8 at his residence. He was born Dec. 31, 1941 to John D. and Ernestein Parker Tankersley.
Survivors include daughter, Rhonda McCleskey; son, Stanley Tankersley; two sisters, Carol Farmsworth and Kathy Bartlette; two brothers, Jerry Tankersley and Charles Haynes; and one grandchild, Travis McCleskey.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Moss Service Funeral Home.
J.C. Queen
Funeral services for J.C. Queen, 85, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Malin, and grandson, the Rev. Shane Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Heritage Cemetery.

Mr. Queen passed away at home on May 9, 2007. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the DAV, and the Purple Hearts Association. He served in the U.S. Army and was a POW for 11 months. He retired from the City of Cullman after 19 years of service. He was a cherished member of Calvary Apostolic UPC Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Queen and Vera Stallings Queen; his first wife, Vera Wilkins Queen; a son, Kenneth New; two sisters, Lorrine Lambert, Adamae Sharp, three brothers, L.B., J.D. and J.R. Queen.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Queen of Cullman; three sons, Edward Nell New of Crane Hill; Larry Jenneth Queen of Fairview, Douglas Hilda Queen of Moulton, daughter-in-law Thelene New of Hanceville; and daughter Sheila, Garry Bowers of Trimble; Stepsons Scott (Donna) and Dennis (Barbara) Hudson of New Jersey; stepdaughters Kim (Michael Danya) and Jill Patten of Georgia; brother J.W. Queen of Kelleyton; 29 grandchildren, including step-grandchildren, 49 great-grandchidren, including step-great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of others who called him “Pa Queen.” He will be greatly missed, for he was greatly loved.
Pallbearers will be Michael New, Chris Queen, Rodney Queen, Brandon Cornelius, Blake Malin, John Curtis Bowers, Garrett Bowers and Jarrett Bowers.
Agnes Black Sullins
Funeral services for Agnes Black Sullins, 81, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Garden City with Billy Ellis and Eith Gambill officiating. The body will lie in state from 1to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
Mrs. Sullins died Wednesday May 9, 2007 at her residence. She was born July 8, 1925 to A.J. “Jack” and Ida Black. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Garden City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bill and Howard Black.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Ed Sullins; son, Thomas Wayne (Lesa) Sullins of Blountsville; daughter, June (Arthur) Absher of Hanceville, Jane (Dennis) Edmondson of Cullman; sister, Gladys Griffith of Cullman; grandchildren, Scott Absher, Michael Asher, Patrick Edmondson, Kevin Edmondson, Matthew Edmondson, Katie Edmondson, T.J. Sullins and Jordon Jane Sullins.
Pallbearers will be Scott Absher, Michael Absher, Patrick Edmondson, Kevin Edmondson, Matthew Edmondson and Greg Black.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Benjamin Franklin Fulmer
Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Fulmer, 84, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Joiner officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Pond Cemetery.

Mr. Fulmer died May 9, 2007 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1922 in Lawrence County to David adn Amelia Gardner Fulmer. Mr. Fulmer was a retired electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Ezma Moon Fulmer; sons Roy (Brenda) Fulmer of Pell City and Rick (Ellen) Fulmer of Cullman; daughter Beverly (Danny) Hackney of Blountsville; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Fulmer, Billy Howell, Micheal Lee, Erik Lee, Derrek Hackney and Josh Bell.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p .m. Friday at the funeral home.
Clara Mae Twilley
Funeral services for Clara Mae Twilley, 78, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. David McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Cullman City Funeral Home chapel.

Mrs. Twilley died May 9, 2007 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1929 to Charlie and Docena Aycock Wix.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Colrage Twilley, a brother, Chester Wix; and four sisters, Vynell Simmons, Lucille Carden, Florence Knott and Charsie Waldrop.
Survivors include two sons, Drennen (Juanita) Twilley and Larry (Nita) Twilley, both of Cullman; a daughter, Rita (Andy) Doss of Cullman; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitaition will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Clytee ‘Boots’ Harris, 83, of Decatur will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Williams McCracken Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris passed away May 8, 2007 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was born July 27, 1923 to parents Abraham and Della Higginbotham Godfrey. Mrs. Harris served the Methodist church for many years as a minister’s wife and was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her father, Abe Godfrey; her mother and step-father, Della and George Fine; her husband, the Rev. E.W. Harris; brothers Arnold Godfrey, G.D. Godfrey and Abe Godfrey, Jr.; and sister, Bernice Heatherly.
Survivors include brothers, Buel (Kathleen) Godfrey, Pete (Margaret) Godfrey, both of Bremen, and Ralph (Helen) Fine of Gardendale; a host of loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams McCracken Funeral Home Chapel in Cullman.
