Margaret Maddux Kimbril
Funeral services for Margaret Maddux Kimbril, 68, of Falkville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Gary Miller and Joey Cotts officiating, with burial in Union Hill Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kimbril died Monday, March 12 at Cullman Health Care. She was born on April 26, 1938, in Louisiana to Wilbert John Dee Callahan and Lillie Ella Mae Dunn Callahan. She was a home health aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Michael E. Maddux.
Survivors include three sons, James (Robin) Maddux of Eva, John (Teresa) Maddux of Falkville and John Cason of Louisiana; two daughters, Vicki Childers of Holly Pond and Ella (Rickie) Childers of Eva; a sister, Rose Rebecca Webb of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Elizabeth Ann Hanners Clements
Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Hanners Clements, 54, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Duck River Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Clements died Sunday, March 11 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Elwin Umphrey
Funeral services for Elwin Umphrey, 68, of Naples, Fla., will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Weeks officiating, Burial will follow in Welti Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Umphrey died Thursday, March 8 in Naples, Fla. He was a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doy and Bovine Barton Umphrey; his wife, Christeen Umphrey; a sister, Martha Carroll Weeks; and an infant sister, Pauline Umphrey.
Survivors include two stepsons, Rick (Lori) Piper of Naples, Fla., and Larry (Carmen) Piper of Del Rey Beach, Fla.; step-grandchildren, Lawrence Francis Piper and Amie Piper; two nieces, Denise Henderson and Phillis Parris; and two nephews, George Weeks and Lee Weeks.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Cora Bell Kugler
Funeral services for Cora Bell Kugler, 83, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Brown officiating, with interment in Cullman Memory Gardens mausoleum.
Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kugler passed away on Monday, March 12 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1923, to Andrew Jackson James and Ilene Parker James. She worked in the lunchroom at West Elementary School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Thurel Kugler; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Othell Kugler; her daughter-in-law, Carol Kugler; one brother, King David (Pauline) James; two grandchildren, Greg (Bobbie) Kugler and Cassandra “Sandy” (Mike) Dye; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Kugler, Colton Kugler and Michael Dye.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Iris Faye Hunter
Iris Faye Hunter, 77, of Winston, Ga., passed away on Saturday evening, March 10, 2007, in a Douglasville Hospital. She was born on Aug. 27, 1929, in Cullman County, to the late Elzie Barbee and Grace Chambers Barbee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church. She was truly a caregiver who enjoyed doing for others.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 55 years, Henry Jessie Hunter Sr.; a daughter, Betty Yandle; two brothers, Henderson “Buck” Barbee and Jimmy Ray Barbee; and three sisters, Bretha Stanfield, Clovis Bivins and Francis Sams.
Survivors include her children, Henry Jessie Hunter Jr. of Winston, Jean Hunter, Ricky and Debbie Hunter, Ronnie and Kathy Hunter, and Randy and Debra Hunter, all of Douglasville, Ga.; two sisters, Paulette “Polly” Sinyard of Baileyton and Freddie (Judy) Amos of Holly Pond; a brother, Tilford C. “Tip” Barbee of Cullman; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 12 at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville, Ga. with the Revs. Tom Kaplan and Joel Strawn officiating, Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hunter’s grandsons served as pallbearers.
Visitation was Sunday.

Jerry Lee Pollard
Funeral services for Jerry Lee Pollard, 76, of Mt. Olive will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, Don Lalonde officiating, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pollard died Saturday, March 10. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the American Legion. He was also a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Nell Pollard; and a son, Charles Mark Pollard.
Survivors include a son, Darrell James Pollard; two daughters, Brenda (Gary) Ware and Debra Kay (Tim) Dodgen; three grandchildren, Layla Dodgen, Cassie Dodgen and Rachel (Michael) Oliver; two great-grandchildren, Alexander Keith Ware, Zoe Oliver and Elizabeth Oliver; a brother, Arvin Pollard; and two sisters, Jo Cheatwood and Queenie Whitten.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
