Billy Ray Shoemaker
Funeral services for Billy Ray Shoemaker, 56, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 at Cullman Heritage Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden City Cemetery. Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shoemaker died on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1950 to William and Audrey Shoemaker.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bass Shoemaker of Cullman; daughter, Bridgett Derrick of Cullman; son, Billy Shoemaker of Cullman; step-daughters Gina Hoehn of Kentucky, Chastity Johnson of Norfolk, Va.; a step-son, Michael Biase of Florida; sisters, Jean Solcumb of Wyoming, Francis Justice of Cullman and Betty Minter of New Orleans; two grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cullman Heritage Chapel.
John Micheal Cunningham
Funeral services for John Micheal Cunningham, 22, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Theron Robertson officiating, with interment in Bethlehem East Cemetery in Hanceville.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cunningham died Wednesday, Jan. 31 in Hanceville.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kameren Cunningham; and his father, Patrick Cunningham Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Tabitha Carr of Hanceville; two sons, Landon Michael Carr and Kayden Chase Cunningham, both of Hanceville; his parents, Bruce and Wendy Shipp of Hanceville; a brother, Patrick Cunningham Jr. of Hanceville; three sisters, Crystal Humanes and Brandy Mitchell, both of Cullman, and Candice Shipp of Hanceville; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Doug Legg, Chris Mitchell, Jonathan Helms, Wayne Davenport, Shawn Heffner and Nathan Fanning.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mary Jane Armstrong
Funeral services for Mary Jane Armstrong, 92, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dennis Lott officiating, with burial in Mt. Grove Congregational Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Armstrong died Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 20, 1915, in Decatur to Richard C. and Caldonie “Donie” Whitehead Grant.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a son, Homer “Sonny” (Mary “Sally”) Armstrong of Hanceville; four grandchildren, Louis (Donna) Armstrong of Cullman, Cathey (Rick) Hall of Vinemont, Liz (Steve) Sandlin of Hanceville and Linda (David) Gilbert of Good Hope; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
David Lynn Isom
Funeral services for David Lynn Isom, 45, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dewey Briscoe officiating, with burial in New Hope No. 2 Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Isom died Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Princeton Medical Center-Birmingham. He was born on Dec. 1, 1961, in Cullman County to James Dewey and Wilma Little Isom. He worked in maintenance for Webb Wheel.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Lottie Isom and Alex and Viola Little.
Survivors include his wife of 25-and-a-half years, Rebecca Story Isom of Cullman; a son, Dustin Isom of Cullman; his parents, James and Wilma Isom of Holly Pond; a brother, Michael (Sharron) Isom of Trussville; two nephews, Daniel Isom and Benjamin Isom, both of Trussville; and two nieces, Lauren Isom of North Carolina and Angela Isom of Trussville.
Visitation was Thursday.
Billy Crane
Funeral services for Billy Crane, 67, of Blountsville will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Brandon Loyd officiating, with burial in South Cemetery in Blountsville.

Mr. Crane died Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Avis R. Burgeson
Funeral services for Avis R. Burgeson, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.
Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burgeson died Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Hanceville Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Dovie Goodwin; and her husband, John E. Burgeson.
Survivors include a sister, Lora Goodwin; a son, Michael (Carolyn) Goodwin; a stepson, Tom Burgeson; a stepdaughter, Nancy Burgeson; a granddaughter, Michelle (Anthony) Parker; a grandson, Shawn (Millie) Goodwin; and four great-grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Cara Rose and Kortney.
No visitation is planned.
Opal Anderson Connor
Graveside services for Opal Anderson Connor, 80, of Birmingham, formerly of Gadsden, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Forrest Cemetery, the Rev. Tim Langford officiating.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Connor died WEdnesday, Jan. 31.
Bertha Hardin
Bertha Hardin, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at her residence in Cullman. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time by Moss Service Funeral Home.
