Bobby Miller

Funeral services for Bobby Miller, 69, of Hanceville are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Moss-Service Funeral Home. Mr. Miller died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006.



Chester Eugene Blackwood

Funeral services for Chester Eugene Blackwood, 79, of Addison will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Northside Baptist Church in Addison, the Revs. Ray Bridgeman and Chuck David officiating, with interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Nesmith. Mr. Blackwood will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Blackwood passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 8, 1927, to Ennels Burton and Lois McCullar Blackwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War and World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Pyne Blackwood; a daughter, Jennifer Blackwood; two sons, Russell (Verna) Blackwood and Rickey (Susan) Blackwood; a brother, Anderson (Opal) Blackwood; seven grandchildren, Brandon (Rhonda) Blackwood, Brandy Twele, Charles Heath (Amy) Hood, James Chester Keith (Jamie) Hood, Gina Bartlett, Nathan (Tonya) Blackwood and Jason (Amy) Blackwood; and six great-grandchildren, Chase Blackwood, Courtney Wood, Hannah Cason, Mackenzie Hood, Zeta Hood and Jaci Blackwood.

Visitation was Wednesday.



Gurley Gertrude Lott Clements

Funeral services for Gurley Gertrude Lott Clements, 103, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Longview Church of God, Larry Bashaw and Charles Ervin officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Clements died Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born on Sept. 29, 1903. She was active until her death in her church as a member of Women of the Church of God Missionary Ladies, Sunday School teaching, VBS teaching and the Ladies’ Quilting Circle. She mothered and loved four foster children as well as nurturing and loving her maternal children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a prayer warrior and an inspiration to those around her. She loved everyone she met and always took time to find good in everyone. She took great pride in serving God in every aspect of her life. She was very much loved and respected. She will be greatly missed, but she has joyfully gone home to be with her Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Ellen Clark Lott; her husband, Murry Benjamen Clements; three children, Maelon Clements, Asa Jefferson Clements and Elvin Horace Clements; five brothers, Clarence (Ada) Lott, Boyce (Ola) Lott, Horace (Alberta) Lott, Milton (Florence) Lott and Dennis (Mildred) Lott; a sister, Ottomeeze (Nolan) McKay; and a grandchild, Bobby Jo McCutcheon Bynum.

Survivors include four sons, Wayne (Stacy) McCutcheon, Bobby (Connie) McCutcheon, Lonnie (Jamie) McCutcheon and Kenneth Shew; a daughter, Dorothy Clements (Bill) Bolzle; 17 grandchildren, Mary (David) Lipsey, Shirley (Buddy) Powell, Gina Bolzle (Jeff) Pugh, Jeremy (Tiffany) Bolzle, Connor, Josh, Shelly and Bonnie McCutcheon, Chad (Tamatha) McCutcheon, Jake, Ben, Tyler Shew, Shontae, Amber and Casey McCutcheon and Austin and Brooke Dibble; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loved ones and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Reid and Asa Lee Brandon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.



Virginia Alice Gramke

Graveside services for Virginia Alice Gramke, 86, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Flint Creek Cemetery, Perry Brown officiating.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gramke died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 3, 1920, in Vinemont to Allen Thurman “Bud” and Elsie Savannah Oden Scott. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Harry Scott.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Kolden and Lynn (Dave) Rauck; a brother, the Rev. Glenn Scott; a sister, Marie Holmes; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No visitation is planned.



Leon Marchman

Funeral services for Leon Marchman, 76, of Vinemont will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Revs. Vernon Willis and J.C. Graves officiating, with burial in Crossroads Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marchman died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at his residence. He was born on Feb. 15, 1930, in Cullman to Robert Lester and Clara Naomi Horton Marchman. He was a security guard with 3-M.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Marchman; and a grandson, Dustin Heath Marchman.

Survivors include his wife, Margeline Crossno Marchman of Vinemont; two sons, Rickey Leon (Renea) Marchman and Jeffrey Alan (Susan) Marchman; two daughters, Janice Carol (Randy) Hyche and Mary Ann (Steven) Rogers; a brother, Felix (Freda) Marchman; a sister, Athelene (Jack) Tucker; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Marchman; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday.



Leona Peppers

Funeral services for Leona Peppers, 81, of Jasper will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Piney Ridge Church of God in Arley, with burial in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Arley. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Peppers died Monday, Nov. 27.



Marie Gladys Ege

Funeral services for Marie Gladys Ege, 89, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
