Rhonda Sue Scroggins
Funeral services for Rhonda Sue Scroggins, 49, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Bro. Wade Maynard officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scroggins died Thursday, July 20 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 14, 1957, in Tuscaloosa to Paul and Annette Jones Morrison. She was a central sterile technician with Cullman Regional Medical Center and Axsys.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, Ronnie Morrison.
Survivors include her husband, Lydon Scroggins of Cullman; her father and stepmother, Paul and Bobbye Morrison of Tuscaloosa; three daughters, Amy (Jimmy Jr.) Drake, Cassie (Aaron) Sparks and Nikki Scroggins, all of Cullman; two brothers, Allen (Ramona) Morrision of Wilsonville and Dale (Dawn) Morrison of Cullman; a stepbrother, Rodney Goins of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren, Dawson Drake, Isaac Drake and Siddalee Drake, all of Cullman; and two special pets, General and Sissy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the White Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Eva Lee Thomas
Funeral services for Eva Lee Thomas, 83, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Vernon Willis officiating, with burial in Livingston Chapel Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Thomas died Friday, July 21 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 8, 1923, to William S. and Vassie Burrow Thomas. She attended Cullman First Congregational Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, was very artistic, and played the piano. Of her activities, riding the C.A.R.T.S. bus was what she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two cousins, Willard Thomas of Jasper and Joe Thomas of Spanish Fort; and one very special friend, Melissa Parrish of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m.
Bobby R. Smith
Masonic graveside services for Bobby R. Smith, 65, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Good Hope Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith died Friday, July 21 at his residence after a 12-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on May 31, 1941, in Cullman County to Hoke H. Smith and Lillar “Lee” Crawford Smith. Before his medical retirement, he was a driver for Wal-Mart. He was a Mason, a Scottish Rite Mason, A York Rite Mason, a Shriner serving as a Roadrunner to the hospitals, and, along with his wife of 40 years, an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Franklin D. Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha McMinn Smith; a son, John Wesley Smith; one brother, Billy W. (Sheila) Smith, two sisters, Flossie (Wilbur) Campbell and Betty (Jim) Self; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Fred) Schwaiger, all of Cullman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, P.O. Box 963, Cullman, AL 35056.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Dennis James Bartlett
Funeral services for Dennis James Bartlett, 49, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Revs.. Larry Brown and Brad McDonald officiating, with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Bartlett died Thursday, July 20 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born on Sept. 26, 1956. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Bartlett.
Survivors include four daughters, Angie Bartlett (Bruce) Tuten, Ashley Bartlett (Ben) Styles, Tomeka Bartlett and Kristi Collins; his mother, Eva Bartlett; three sisters, Doris Bartlett (Quinton) Nail, Donna Bartlett (Robert) Sims and Sharon Bartlett (Ralph) Corley; and three grandchildren, McKenzie, Trent and Jaiden.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
Kyle Wayne ‘Lil Man’ Seibert Jr.
Funeral services for Kyle Wayne “Lil Man” Seibert Jr. of Arab will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the Church of the Living God, with burial in the church cemetery.
Arab Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
He died Thursday, July 20. He was born on March 31, 2005.
Survivors include his parents, Kyle and Tina Raley Seibert of Arab; two sisters, Sydney Alexis Swafford and Alyssa Jade Swafford, both of Arab; grandparents, Greg and Tina Caudle of Arab, Larry and Kathy Seibert of Huntsville, Charles and Tammy Gaither of Arab and Dan and Aletha Raley of Cullman; great-grandparents, the Rev. A.E. Dean of Arab, Betty Rhodes of Alexandria, Wayne and Judy Rhodes of Anniston, Edward and Sue Caudle of Decatur and Evelyn Seibert of Huntsville; and great-great-grandmother, Emma Rhodes of Anniston.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Thermon Lavon Kellum
Thermon Lavon Kellum, 79, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006, in Huntsville. He was born on July 23, 1926, in Cullman. Lavon and his beloved wife, Mittie Lou Smith Kellum, would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 23 of this year. Lavon volunteered for the U.S. Navy during World War II, and served in both that war and the Korean war. He was a master welder, was retired from TVA where he was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. Lavon Loved life and had many varied interests. He was known for his expertise in racing cars in the Flint, Mich., area in the 1950s. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. He had a mischievous sense of humor which was a delight to all of his family.
Roselawn Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry (Sherry) Kellum; a daughter, Shelia (David) Motley; a grandson, Brad Verner; a granddaughter, Sabra (Brad) Keenum; a great-grandson, Ryan Keenum; a sister, Marcella Shelton; and a half-sister, Montez (Ronnie) Key.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in Decatur.
The family will hold a viewing today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be held.
