Ronald Herman Perkins
Funeral services for Ronald Herman Perkins, 56, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Hanceville Assembly of God, the Revs. Jack Thorn and Andrew Ball officiating. Buddy Perkins will officiate the graveside services at Duck River Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Perkins passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2 at his residence. He was born on Nov. 20, 1949, to Herman and Johnnie Mae Duke Perkins. He was a truck driver with Badcock Transportation. He was a beloved husband, daddy, paw paw and brother. He attended Hanceville Assembly of God for 40 years. Ronald considered the Rev. Frank and Edith Butts as his spiritual parents, who dedicated their lives to leading and guiding others in their spiritual journey. Later he joined Spirit Life Church of God where he was an active member.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hamby Perkins of Hanceville; four sons, Brian (Jane) Perkins of Blountsville, Rusty (Mandi) Perkins, Peggy Perkins and Anthony (Christi) Hamby, all of Cullman; two daughters, Kristie Hamby of Cullman and Kassie (Jay) Vest of Eva; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Perkins, Ethan and Maci Hamby, Caden Hamby, Baylee and Brady Vest and Mykenzie Heaton; two sisters, Regina Race and Jeanette Heaton; two nephews, Matt Heaton and Keith (Misha) Race; two nieces, Beth (Brian) Jackson and Angie Graves; and his mother-in-law, Jo Butts.
Pallbearers will be Matt Heaton, Keith Race, Carl Thomas, Terry Heaton, Jerry Thomas and Dee Holloway.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Perkins and Ethan Hamby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Johnnie Mae Duke Perkins; a sister, Dorothy Perkins; and a brother, Kenneth Perkins.
The family requests that in celebration of life, memorials be made to Hospice of Cullman at 402 4th Ave. NE, Cullman, AL 35055.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Jake Curtis Womack
Funeral services for Jack Curtis Womack, 57, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Womack died Thursday, Feb. 2 at his residence. He was born in Ft. Payne on July 16, 1948, to Jake Curtis Sr. and Nancy Lou Harris Womack. He was a surveyor.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Friedrick Womack of Cullman; his mother; three sons, Tom Rouse, Curtis (Lacy Durham) Womack, both of Cullman, Justin Green of Ft. Payne; three daughters, Sandra (Tim) Mead of Holly Pond, Nancy (Joseph) Gregson of Falkville, Michelle (Bert) Ledford of Georgia; one sister, Janice (Andy) Sharp of Ft. Payne; seven grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or to Dr. Allan Wilensky’s Cardiology Unit at Princeton Clinic in Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Feddie Sue Carter Pesnell
Funeral services for Feddie Sue Carter Pesnell, 104, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Fairview United Methodist Church, the Revs. Richard Saylor and Jerry Flemming officiating, with burial in Fairview Methodist Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pesnell died Thursday at her residence surrounded by family and friends. She was born on Aug. 22, 1901, in Cullman County to James Joseph Carter and Georgia Alma Waldrop Carter. She was a homemaker who was proud of her ancestry and was known for her love of family, friends and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mayo Pesnell; an infant son, Minard Max Pesnell; a grandson, Michael McClung; eight brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Montez McClung of Eva; three grandchildren, Patricia Earl of Austin, Texas, Harold David (Martha) McClung Jr. of Cullman and Meredith (Jane) McClung of Hartselle; seven great-grandchildren, Tenna (Kenny) Block, Genna (Steve) Laperla, Heather (Paul) Ballow, Keith (Kim) McClung, David McClung, William McClung and Sissy (Jason) Thompson; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Hetty Green Hendrix of Cullman; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Carter of Cullman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday.
Maxie M. Butler
Funeral services for Maxie M. Butler, 82, of Cullman are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Moss-Service Funeral Home. Mr. Butler died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at his residence.
William Robert Tucker
Funeral services for William Robert Tucker, 77, of Jasper will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at Kilgore-Green Chapel, the Rev. Charles W. Powell officiating, with burial in Mt. Hope Baptist Cemetery in Crane Hill at 3 p.m.
Kilgore-Green Funeral Home of Jasper is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tucker died Friday, Feb. 3 at Ridge View Health Care Center. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jasper, the Kiwanis Club, and was a U.S.A.F. veteran, having served in the Korean conflict. He was assistant principal starting in 1970 and became principal of Walker High School in 1981 and served in that position until 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jeanette Tucker of Jasper; a daughter, Robin Len Crane and her husband, Mark, of Jasper; a brother, Dwight Tucker and his wife, Brenda, of Cullman; and a sister, Katie White of Cullman.
Pallbearers will be Jim Hubbard, Mike Hubbard, James Randall Kornegay, Kim Kornegay, Marvin King and Charles Dotson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
Hoover Randolph
Burial for Hoover Randolph, 73, formerly of Greenville, S.C., will be Sunday, Feb. 5 in Cullman Memory Gardens
Mr. Randolph died in Columbia, S.C., on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Born in Chesnee, S.C., he was the son of the late Geter and Cora Peterson Randolph. He retired as a truck driver. He was a Baptist and member of the Pleasantburg Lion’s Club.
Surviving is his wife, Carol Sims Randolph of the home; a son, Rex Allen Randolph of Ware Shoals, S.C.; two daughters, Corby Randolph of Pensacola, Fla., and Melinda Gray of Laurens, S.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Slagle of Jonesborough, Tenn., Reola Aldrich of Knoxville, Tenn., and Shirley (Bryant) Trice of Newland, N.C.; three brothers, Reece (Patricia) Randolph of Griffin, Ga., Ray (Ann) Randolph of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Douglas Randolph of Newland, N.C.; three grandsons; four granddaughters; three sisters-in-law, Charlene (Anthony) DeBusk, Paulette (John) West, Tommie Lou (Don) Little; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Green; and two brothers, Winford and Wallace Randolph.
A celebration of life was held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
