John Douglas Adams
John Douglas Adams, 46, of Cullman died Monday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. The family will have a private service.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adams was born on Nov. 9, 1959, to Marvin Wade and Dorothy Faye Bell Adams. He served in the U.S. Air Force for six years, and as a pharmacist for the past 15 years, operating his own pharmacy in West Point.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Adams; three daughters, Abby Adams, Libby Adams and Paden Adams; three sons, Raleigh Adams, Aubrey Adams and Connor Adams.
The family wishes to thank all family, friends and customers for their prayers.
Ruth Dean Sticher
Funeral services for Ruth Dean Sticher, 81, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Moss-Service Chapel, Bros. Doyle Bullard and Del Brock officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sticher died Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Blount Springs to Grady Dean and Dovie Williamson Dean. She was a school teacher. She was a 1942 graduate of Hayden High School. She received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Montevallo in 1946. She was a social worker and a longtime sixth-grade teacher at John G. Cullman Middle School. She was a member of East Cullman Church of Christ for more than 45 years. She was married to Wayne Sticher for 58 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Sticher of Cullman; a son, Dean Sticher of Cullman; a daughter, Amy (Jay) Campen of Alpharetta, Ga.; a sister, Colleen (Edward) Bunn of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Laura Campen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to John G. Cullman Middle School Library at 800 Second Ave. NE, Cullman, AL 35055.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.
Verlon Johnnie Drake
Funeral services for Verlon Johnnie Drake, 84, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Revs. Gary Driver, Price Robinson and Tom Jackson officiating, with burial in Flint Creek Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Drake died Tuesday, Jan. 31 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 27, 1921, in Cullman County to Johnny Drake and Iowa Holmes Drake. He was an emergency medical technician, retired after 27 years with Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Julie Faye England.
Survivors include his wife, Maurine Norris Drake of Vinemont; two sons, Gaylon (Shirley) Drake and Darrell (Sandy) Drake, both of Vinemont; a son-in-law, Eddie England of Vinemont; five brothers, Talmadge Drake and Atla Drake, both of Vinemont, Homer Drake of Mansfield, Ohio, H.H. “Squirrel” Drake of Cullman and Winfield (Theolene) Moon of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Imogene Lawrence, Mozelle Wilhite and Wilda Corley, all of Vinemont; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Russell) Swann, Chastity (Dewayne) Puckett, Stephanie Drake, Sherry (Greg) Parker, Jeremy (Connie) England, Brandon Drake, Nicholas Drake, Sandy (Dale) Agan, Scotty Drake and Heath (Brandie) Drake; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Lucille M. Wise
Funeral services for Lucille M. Wise, 91, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Rev. Wendell Peterson officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. Wise died Tuesday, Jan. 31 in Lakeland. She was born on June 1, 1914, in Cullman to Ledus and Celina Elizabeth Elrod Robertson. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wise; a son, Ray Wise; a daughter, Ruth McCravy; and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Afton (Midge) Wise of Lakeland, Fla., and Fred Wise of Vinemont; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Wise of Vinemont; a brother, Dick Robertson of Georgia; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Larry Clifton
Funeral services for Larry Clifton, 60, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel with burial in Red Hill Cemetery in Ivalee.

Mr. Clifton died Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Lena Kathryn Coker
Funeral services for Lena Kathryn Coker, 80, of Cullman, formerly of Decatur, were held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at First Baptist Church of Austinville, the Rev. Martin Steelman officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mrs. Coker died Monday, Jan. 30 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Birmingham to James Curbie and Nannie Sue Jordan Pritchett. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Austinville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Coker; a daughter, Carolyn Ann Scott; her parents; and three brothers, William, Junior and Ira Pritchett.
Survivors include two grandsons, Tim (Jessica) Scott and Todd (Rhonda) Scott, both of Cullman; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashley and Arleigh Scott, all of Cullman; a son-in-law, Johnny Lloyd Scott of Cullman of Cullman; three sisters, Virginia Hill, Mary (Neal) Hayes, both of Huntsville and Lois (Tom) Prickett of Albertville; a brother, Jack (Mavorine) Pritchett of Albertville; and several nieces and nephews.
