Steven Alexander McKenzie

Funeral services for Steven Alexander McKenzie, 71, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Moss-Service Chapel, James Ben McKenzie and Hugh Frank McKenzie officiating, with burial in Hayden Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McKenzie died Thursday, Dec. 22 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 8, 1934, to George Burdett and Essie Blakie McKenzie. He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Cleveland McKenzie; and his sister, Edna McKenzie.

Survivors include a son, Jeffery Lee McKenzie; three daughters, Barbara Owens, Judy (Jeff) Cooper and Cindi (Larry) James; four brothers, George Burdett McKenzie Jr., Mike McKenzie, James Ben McKenzie and Hugh Frank McKenzie; a sister, Christina Boyst; and four grandchildren, Jeremy Alexander Owens, Jonathan David Owens, Aaron Wayne Cosper and Jennifer Paige McKenzie.

Visitation was Friday.



Robert Ivan Brown

Funeral services for Robert Ivan Brown, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Enon Baptist Church, Perry Brown officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown died Friday, Dec. 23 at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born May 28, 1913, to John B. and Alta Roxanne Tilley Brown. He worked for 25 years for the state of Alabama Highway Department and for five years with Stiefelmeyers. He loved to quilt and was a boxer. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and enjoyed the work he did for the church. He had been a Mason for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cloia Brown; a brother, V.B. Brown; and two sisters, Mary Moon and Genice Bentley.

Survivors include a daughter, Ella Faye (Eston) Lewis of Vinemont; two grandchildren, Jeff (Shelia) Lewis and Julia Lewis (Mark) York; three great-grandchildren, Laura York, Casey Lewis and Christopher Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
