Readers will notice several changes with The Cullman Times Web site.

The Web site is being upgraded as part of a project with its owners, Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.

As part of the redesign, the site will now offer more information and opportunities for The Times’ readers, including more local stories and features.

In most cases, every locally generated story will now be published on the site, as well as items including wedding and engagement announcements and opinions.

The Times will continue to use its Web site to administer unscientific polls on current issues, but readers will also get the opportunity to discuss issues on a new community forum.

During the change, some items will temporarily be unavailable, including the photo gallery through which readers may purchase pictures from area events. The gallery will return at the soonest possible date.

The Times asks for the readers’ patience while the changes are being implemented and encourages input and opinions.
